My Teaching Philosphy
My teaching philosophy revolves around the student-centred learning approach. This will emphasise shifting the focus of instruction from teachers to students with the aim of developing autonomy and independence. By placing this responsibility on students it is believed that these new skills and practices will enable lifelong learning and assist in skills such as problem solving. I believe that it is imperative as an educator to create an inclusive and equitable learning environment that caters for all learners regardless of ability, age, race, religion, gender, cultural, or socioeconomic background. Every students is different, thus I believe in taking a differentiation approach to teaching to provide all students with the opportunity to learn, thrive and be themselves. As teachers we are not only here to educate our students but to support them through their journey creating a safe, inclusive, fun and positive learning experience. |
